The West End is home to Massachusetts General Hospital and nested just behind Beacon Hill. With Storrow Drive and the Charles River to the West of the area, the West End is situated near Faneuil Hall and the Garden.
Architectural character of buildings designed by architect Charles Bulfinch permeate the neighborhood. Changed by the urban renewal of the late 1950’s, the West End today is interwoven with high-rise towers and mixed-use spaces.
Several pubs can be found in the area, and the nearby neighborhoods of Government Center and Beacon Hill give access to some of Boston’s best dining.
With easy access to MBTA stations and pedestrian bridges across Storrow Drive to the scenic walkways and paths along the Charles River, the West End neighborhood is at the doorstep of some of Boston’s most beloved sights.
