West Roxbury is located in Boston’s southwest corner, known for its activism and culture.
Mostly single family homes fill the town, along tree lined streets, giving the area a suburban feeling.
Centre Street is within the area’s main business district, with restaurants, banks and shops. A popular location within the neighborhood is Millennium Park, 100 acres of trails, fields and picnic areas.
There are a few Boston public schools throughout the neighborhood as well as a branch of the Boston Public Library.
West Roxbury is separated from Roxbury by Jamaica Plain and Roslindale. The neighborhood is also bordered by Dedham, Needham, Brookline and Newton.
