Hingham is a town on the South Shore in Plymouth County.
The town is located 15 miles south of Boston and has a rich colonial history and a prime location on Boston Harbor.
There are a number of beautiful historic houses as well as the Hingham Historical Society Museum. There are 6 historic districts within Hingham that each convey a unique part of the history.
The town boasts 21 miles of shoreline and is in the process of constructing a new harbor park to further make use of Hingham Harbor.
There are also a number of recreational areas including: Bare Cove Park, World’s End with breathtaking views of Boston and Wompatuck State Park with the largest public campground in the metropolitan Boston area.
